As the DevOps Engineer, the individual will lead the design, deployment, and maintenance operations of an Automated OpenStack Ansible environment. In this role, the Engineer will design a scalable and resilient OpenStack environment and will be responsible for the development of automation solutions utilizing Ansible Core and Ansible Tower. In addition, the Engineer will utilize scripting skills with Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet to automate OpenStack deployment and management and be able to Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to keep OpenStack deployments smooth and continuous.
Please note, this role requires on-site 5 days a week in Augusta, Georgia.
Responsibilities
Implements solutions to monitor, log, and keep tabs on the health and performance of an OpenStack environment
Collaborates with engineering and operations to ensure solution runs efficiently and effectively
Troubleshoots, identifies, and resolves issues that arise in our OpenStack infrastructure, from performance bottlenecks to security gaps
Stays ahead of the curve on the latest trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation
Develops Ansible playbooks and modules
Works collaboratively with the engineering team to create and deploy Ansible solutions for a distributed data center infrastructure environment
Administers Ansible infrastructure, performs maintenance and configuration, and provides SME-level support
Provides technical support to Operations concerning automation solution usage.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues in the DEV, Test, and Production environments.
Updates system and process documentation and user guides, diagrams, and SOPs as needed
Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or related degree in computer science or 7 years’ experience
Must have Secret clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility required
Must have Security+ Certification or Higher
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer with OpenStack private cloud implementations
Experience deploying and managing OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift)
Hands-on experience building and supporting Linux environments
Scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or your favorite language
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
Experience with Ansible Core and Ansible Tower
Strong experience coding and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Batch files, etc.)
Strong experience with RHEL 6, RHEL 7, Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 System Administration
Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience
Experience strongly preferred with other DevOps (Chef, Salt, Puppet) tools experience
Strong knowledge of Source Code Control Systems (Git)
Experience leading system integration projects as the technical lead
Experience working with customers to capture/document requirements
